Pulling up on the handle of the adjustable tension lever disengages it from the spline and allows it to rotate freely for adjustment. Releasing the handle engages it for tightening or adjusting. The handles are made from steel. They have a silver-grey hammertone powder coat finish and the steel studs have a block oxide finish.
