Fraser, MI – Fixtureworks has recently expanded its lineup of pneumatic shaft clamps to give users even more options and versatility in automated machine changeover. Pneumatic Shaft Locking Clamps automate the quick locking of sliding shafts and spindles, enabling operaters to secure clamping fast from a distance after positioning adjustments of machine parts and units. Perfect for quick change applications, pneumatic shaft clamp main features include:

     

  • Spring clamping for positive locking and air for unclamping.

    •  

  • Remote and multiple-unit capability for efficient, out-of-reach operation.

    •  

  • Fits shaft diameters from 8 mm to 30 mm.

    •  

  • Compact and heavy-duty versions available to match your required load.

 

 

Fixtureworks has added even more pneumatic options to choose from. On the PSLC compact clamp version, a new lower pressure type is offered which provides operating air pressure as low as 0.3 MPa, (43 lbs).

 

Additionally, clamping status can now be detected with a remote sensor on the heavy duty version of the shaft clamp. On this sensor mountable type, magnetic sensors detect interal piston position and determine clamping condition.
