Fraser, MI - Fixtureworks introduces a new Light-Duty Pneumatic Flex Locator, a versatile zero-point clamping system engineered for fast, accurate changeovers in demanding machining environments.

The AMWFH-S locator is a single-acting, air-assisted clamping module that pairs with a clamping pin. For fixture plate changeover this module is mounted to a base plate and a clamping pin is attached to the fixture plate. This system provides repeatable positioning to 0.06 mm and clamping force up to 1,000 N (224 lbs).

This light-duty clamping module achieves high clamping force with a spring-loaded mechanical lock that clamps when air pressure is released. When air pressure is activated the locator module unclamps. The AMWFH-S is equipped with two pneumatic ports for unclamping. Only 44 psi of air pressure is required for operation.
