This heavy-duty pneumatic locator module is part of a Flex locating system that enables high-precision positioning and high clamping forces. It allows for quick change in machining operations. For fixture plate changeover this module is mounted to a base plate and a clamping pin is attached to the fixture plate. This module clamps with spring force and can be boosted by supplying air to the turbo port. With a locating repeatability of 5 microns (0.005 mm), clamping force can reach as high as 5,800 lbs with the turbo function on. Supplying air to the unclamping port opens the module, and releasing air allows the spring to hold the clamping pin for clamping.

This module also can be used as a form holding clamp for OD or ID clamping by mounting a form holding jaw. Supplied with diamond pin, locating pin, orifice plug, mounting hole caps and locating hole cap. Body made from 1055 steel with black oxide finish. Balls made from stainless steel.
