Description

These swing clamps swing into position, then clamp straight down onto the workpiece for direct downward pressure. When releasing the clamp, the arm swings out 90 degrees for easy removal and placement of the workpiece. The internal spiral groove forces positive clamp arm rotation both in the clamping and unclamping motions. Excellent rigidity is achieved with the base embedding into the plate mounting hole, or mounted into a custom holder. The hex head can be turned manually or operated with an impact wrench. This hex head makes it ideal for use with a nut runner on automated production lines, where robots use nut runners. The tapped end of the clamp arm allows for installing a clamping tip. Parts ending in R have a clockwise clamping direction, part numbers ending in L have a counterclockwise clamping direction.

The body and clamp arm are made from 1045 steel with a black oxide finish. The shaft is made from 4140 steel, quenched and tempered, with a black oxide finish. The hex head is made from 4135 steel, quenched and tempered, with a black oxide finish. Parts are heat treated with a black oxide finish.
